New Maruti Wagon R launched in India

One of India’s finest, oldest and most successful carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, just launched the all new Maruti Wagon R with a lot of upgrades and changes. The New Maruti Wagon R is an all together new car with a new look and some engineering changes. The all new Wagon R is far more contemporary than its predecessor. The Maruti Wagon R is priced between Rs 3.28 to 3.81 lakh.

Let us take a look at the new K10B engine that powers the updated Maruti Wagon R. The new 998cc three-cylinder engine is capable of generating 68PS power and the company is claiming a fuel efficiency of around 18.9 kmpl.

As for the designing part, the new Maruti Wagon R is based on a new platform and has all new dimensions - 40mm has been added to its wheelbase and about 100mm to its overall length. Maruti has also paid attention to the designing of the new Maruti Wagon R, which looks different with its all new rounded looks. The new Maruti Wagon R has a new steering the same as in Swift and the dashboard has a new central console that comes with integrated stereo AUX-In for ipod connectivity and larger circular control for the aircon.

The rear of new Maruti Wagon R comes with a wash and wipe and the front grille has been altered, the headlights and bumpers have also been redone and look much better now. Also, the tail lamps have been restyled along with the rear window glass that gives the new Maruti Wagon R a better look and feel.

The car also has optional ABS and Airbags option in the higher end VXi model. News has also come in that the company might bring out the CNG version with the launch of the new model.
