New Mercedes Benz E-Class launched in India

Mercedes-Benz, luxury car maker, today introduced its new Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI BlueEfficiency with diesel engine in India. The company has introduced a special edition of Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan in August. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class version has a price tag of Rs 48.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company equipped the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class with latest fuel efficiency technology 'BlueEfficiency'. This new technology ensure 13 per cent less fuel consumption and lower emission. The Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI BlueEfficiency is powered by a powerful OM642 V6 diesel engine with turbochargers. The engine capacity is 2987cc and develops awesome 228 bhp of peak power and 540 Nm of maximum torque. The new diesel  Mercedes-Benz E-Class features intelligent lighting system, new parking guidance-Parktronics, LED daytime lighting, drowsiness detection system, Pre-safe and Neck-pro. The company managed to sell 3,625 units of cars in india the previous year and hoped to see impressive increase in sales next year onwards on account of new Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI BlueEfficiency. Car lovers in India are eagerly waiting for two car launches, Volkswagen Beetle and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, by December 2009.
