Mercedes Benz India, country's largest luxury car maker, launched its new E-250 CDI Classic sedan, a stripped down version of its E250 CDI Elegance saloon, today. The launch of new E-250 CDI Classic can be seen as an addition to the league of stripped down versions of Mercedes cars in India, as just a fortnight ago the company launched an Executive Edition of its Benz C-Class. The new E-250 CDI Classic will be available at an on-road price of Rs 46.18 lakh in Mumbai.
A number of features are missing in the new E-250 CDI Classic as the company has launched it as its base diesel model in India. Features like sliding sunroof, bi-Xenon headlamps, LED driving lamps and daytime running headlamps are missing in the new model when compared to the existing higher trim variant of this E-Class.
The new E-250 CDI Classic is cheaper by Rs 2.33lakh, compared to the price of existing E250 CDI Elegance model.
