New small car from Honda

Honda small car has been in news from quite a long time, it got more weight after the Delhi Auto Expo, 2010. Since then, the speculation of its name has been coming time and aging; this time, the latest information suggests that it will be named as Honda Brio, while its codename is CV2 which was displayed at the last Auto Expo held in the national capital. This will be a hatchback body type car that will join the highly populated small cars segment in India, there the Brio has to compete with the likes of Nissan Micra, Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia, coming soon Toyota Etios, etc.

The Honda Brio is reported to be loaded with a compact powertrain i.e. a 1.2 litre petrol engine with a piston displacement of 900cc. This compact engine of the upcoming hatchback will deliver higher fuel efficiency along with agile performance. The small car is to be priced competitively in view to give better option in small cars in India.
 
According to sources, the Honda Brio will be introduced in Indian market mid of next year, further a sedan model is also expected that will put the model in the segment of Nissan Micra and Toyota Etios. On behalf of the small car, showcased in Auto Expo, it will have neat and clean front fascia with larger front grille and wider front windscreen; it will also fitted with body colour ORVMs and bumpers along with door handles. The rear end of the car will have same design cues that will compliment front view of the small car.
