New Volkswagen Phaeton ready for launch at China Auto Show

Volkswagen Phaeton, a premium class luxury sedan from German car maker, is all set to appear in a completely new look at the Auto China 2010 expo. The company will launch new Volkswagen Phaeton at the show where it has already become the source of attraction among car enthusiasts.
Besides the aesthetic changes, some new equipments has also been added to the new Volkswagen Phaeton, including satnav system with a 30GB hard drive that can pull Google Maps “Satellite Hybrid View” data via UMTS (3G), a speed limit signboard recognition and a camera-based main beam adjustment system called Dynamic Light Assist. The recognition system of Phaeton can also recognize the “no overtaking” signs and which is first of its kind feature in the world of auto mobiles.
The new Volkswagen Phaeton will be available in both short and long wheelbase, with the rear bench adjustable to either a 3 seater or with 2 individual seats. The car is powered with a V6 TDI (diesel) engine, which is able to produce maximum power of 240 PS. The car will also available with three petrol engines including a V6, a V8 and a W12 petrol engine, produces maximum power of 280 PS, 335 PS and 450 PS respectively.
