Nissan Micra Diesel launch on 10th December 2010

Finally the most awaited launch from Nissan, Micra diesel version is on the door. The official date for the big launch is decided to be 10th of December 2010 i.e. The coming Friday. Nissan Micra Diesel is something people have been looking forward for since quite a time and now finally the date is revealed rising people's excitement. Nissan Micra is a successful model from Nissan which was launched five years back and now a new diesel version is getting added to it on coming Friday. The famous hatchback from the company is a major player in its segment attracting large number of customers. The availability of a diesel option in already famous hatchback is going to be far more lucrative for the company. The diesel version of Nissan Micra is going to be loaded with 1.5-litre DCI engine which will act as its powerhouse giving peak power of 63bhp and 16.3kgm of beating torque. The Nissan Micra Diesel will be named as XV and XV Premium. The prototype displayed at an ongoing auto show in the country attracted hubs.

The basic designing and concept of Nissan Micra is carried in its diesel version as well except a few twists and turns. The height of Nissan Micra diesel is lessened up with 1525mm as compared to 1530mm of its petrol version. XV Premium is the top variant of Nissan Micra Diesel and will have a better wheelbase of 15 inch and 75/60 R15 tyres against 165/70 R14 in its petrol variant. Among the little changes, the company has included leather covered gear knob and steering in the diesel version. But certain features like front passenger airbag,security alarm system, Brake, ABS and EBD Assist are removed from the list while designing this stunning model. The company has yet not made any official statement on the pricing of Nissan Micra Diesel but it is speculated to be around Rs 4.5 Lakh. This variant is gratingly going to give good competition to major players in this segment.
