Nissan Micra Diesel to be launched before Christmas

Nissan Motors is all ready to roll out diesel variant of its much popular model Nissan Micra. The company has already announced the beginning of the booking orders at its twenty dealerships all over the country for this diesel variant. This new diesel-powered Nissan Micra is speculated to go on sale before the occasion of Christmas this year. It is also being speculated that the new diesel Micra will have the 1.5-liter CRDI engine. This engine should provide about 65-70bhp of power, 150-160 Nm of torque and also 20-25 kmplof mileage. The new Nissan Micra diesel will come in 2 variants- XV and the XV Premium. The Nissan Micra diesel XV will flaunt similar features like that of the XV petrol except for the  EBD and ABS which will be there in the XV Premium variant. XV Premium will also have 15 inch alloy wheels. In this car a leather wrapped steering wheel will also be provided. The vehicle will also have a rear spoiler.

It is being expected that the new Nissan diesel Micra will be priced in the Suzuki Swift DDiS territory. Nissan Motor India Private Ltd has already announced the taking of booking orders for this new diesel variant of Nissan Micra at its 20 dealerships. Apart from this move, the company has also begun a creative multimedia ad campaign for the product that includes radio, television, print and digital media.

Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India stated that the success of Nissan Micra’s petrol variant in the domestic market has given a big amount of confidence to the company. Now, the company hopes for the similar success result from the Micra diesel variant that will be launched within six months from the launch of the Micra petrol version. Mr. Tokuyama further added that Nissan Motors has always taken care of its commitment to offer Indian customers with a total range of services and products. Now, the Micra diesel variant will meet the discerning needs of the Indian customers. Abhijeet Pandit, Vice President, Marketing & After Sales, Hover Automotive India stated that they were constantly getting the enquiries for Nissan Micra Diesel since the time they launched the petrol version in July.
