Nissan Micra launch countdown begins

The all new Nissan Micra premium hatchback is just a few hours away from its official launch in the Indian market. The new Nissan baby will be unveiled today at 7.00 pm in a launching ceremony to be held in the national capital. The Micra model has been receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers and the company has managed to clock more than 1500 pre-order bookings in just six weeks since it began its bookings. The hatchback sensation from Nissan India will hit the Indian roads for the first time on Thursday when the company will start deliveries of this car in India.
The Micra model is already available for display at Nissan's outlets across India where interested buyers can book the car with an initial amount of Rs 50,000. It will be rolled-out in four variants ( XE, XE+, XL and XV) in the expected price range of Rs 3,90,000 to 5,20,000 (New-Delhi ex-showroom price). The Nissan Micra model will be powered by a 1.2liter DOHC 12 Valve 3-cylinder petrol engine which generates a peak power of 76PS @ 6,000rpm along with a maximum torque of 104kg per
4000rpm. As per the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) tests reports, the Micra offers a high mileage of 18.6 km/litre.
The company has recently inaugurated its five new dealerships in India. The cities where these new dealerships have been opened include Ludhiana, Gurgaon, Calicut, Jalandhar and Surat. The company now has 15 dealerships in total which are spread across 13 states of the country.
