Japanese car maker, Nissan is celebrating the 30th birth anniversary of its flagship hatchback Micra this year. Launched back in 1983 in Britain, the Nissan Micra has now become an icon for Nissan, and is in its fourth generation now. Nissan also showcased a facelift version of the car at the 2013 Bangkok Motor Show, which we are expecting to launch in India as well by the end of this year.
The car has turned 30, but the fame it has earned over the years, shows the Micra's longstanding popularity. It has always been said that life begins at 30 and to help Micras stay healthy, Nissan has announced a range of new ‘30’ themed offers for Micra owners.
All Micra drivers with over three years of ownership can now benefit from a MOT for as little as £30. They can also get their hands on some new accessories, with a considerable 30% off tyres and windscreen wiper blades. Continuing the birthday celebrations, 30% can also be saved on Micra brake pads and batteries, now available from £45. Better still, all prices include VAT and come with free fitting.
Chris Marsh, Aftersales Director said: “Micra’s loyal customers have been instrumental to its success over the past 30 years. Nissan has introduced these offers to mark this great achievement and to say a big thank you to all Micra owners.”
Nissan that is developing the Micra (known as March in many markets) in Europe at the moment, has now officially said to be producing the next-generation Nissan Micra at the Renault Flins plant, located near Paris, France, Production will begin in 2016 at an estimated annual volume of 82,000 vehicles.
