With the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show getting close, automakers are teasing their fans with images of what they expect to see in the show. Following Hyundai, Nissan has teased an image of its upcoming Z Crossover concept which is scheduled for the motor show launch. Nissan is aiming to impress the Z series fans with this launch and attract more auto enthusiast to their display in the show.
The new crossover is based on the Common Module Family (CMF) platform which is a joint development of Nissan and Renault and is also used in the upcoming Renault Kwid. This platform is designed to accommodate hybrid technologies so the concept might showcase a hybrid powertrain. Also, this means, size wise the car will fit somewhere between Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Juke. The car features 1.2 and 1.5-litre four-cylinder engines for the standard versions whereas the performance variant gets the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. The crossover market in US occupies a large portion and Nissan is looking to hit the sweet spot with its latest model. The crossover is expected to feature a coupe type outer body and might also get some work done by Nismo, Nissan’s performance oriented tuning division.
Last week, BMW announced its lineup of the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show which included the BMW 225xe and their latest flagship, the 2016 7 Series. Also, Bugatti revealed its Vision Gran Turismo project in pictures after Hyundai teased images of its Vision Gran Turismo project.
