Nissan to manufacture new small car in India

World famous car manufacturer Nissan is planning to start manufacturing its small car Micra in India at its Chennai plant in India. According to company the Plant will start operating from June 2010 and its capacity would be 2,00000 cars per year. Senior executive Colin Dodge said that It’s been difficult for us to make money on small cars in Europe,”.“But we’re not going to India just to lower costs. We want to be in the Indian market, and to be in India, you have to build cars there. The Small car segment in India is very large and after the popularity of the Tata Nano almost all big car manufacturers planning to launch their small car models in India.
