Nissan will ramp up dealership network to 100 from the existing 32 by 2013

Nissan, the fastest growing Japanese auto company in Indian car market is expecting to compete against Maruti Suzuki which is India's largest auto mobile manufacturer. The company is mulling over to spread its wings across the country with increasing of dealership network to 100 from exciting 32 by 2013. Nissan Motor is second largest auto company in Japan which entered in India in 2007 with its 100 per cent subsidiary Nissan Motors India Pvt. ltd. Then the company came with its fully imported Nissan X-Trail SUV. Later, a manufacturing facility had been settled in Oragadam near Chennai which presently producing over 400,000 units per annum.
Nissan Motors India includes luxury sedan Nissan Teana, sports utility vehicle Nissan X-Trail, sports car Nissan 370Z and the compact hatchback Nissan Micra. Nissan Micra is pushing the sales of company and has direct competition with Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Swift.
Presently the company has total 32 car dealerships outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Secunderabad and Chennai. And recently opened Fortune Nissan, its third dealership in Andhra Pradesh which is spread over 35,000 sq ft and all the Nisan cars are displayed on it. The global car major has 32 dealership outlets across the country and now wants to touch the mark of 100 before the end of year 2013. For this year, it is planing open 23 new dealerships in this financial year.
Already Nissan Motors India reported that it will launch two new cars in India with next two year. The company will launch one sedan against Toyota Etios which will touch Indian road before the end of this year meanwhile another will be SUV which will be major competitor of Toyota Innova. Along with the launch of these cars Nissan wishes to increase its production capacity. For that the Japanese auto company will invest Rs 4,500 crore in a period of 7 years. Along with domestic market Nissan is also exporting to European countries through India.
