As the Hyundai Exter's launch date approaches, we are receiving more information about the micro SUV's specifications and features. Now, we get our first look at its interior thanks to some leaked images that have surfaced on the internet confirming a few more of its features. Let’s have a look at what we got to see.
Grand i10 Nios-inspired Dashboard
The interior of the Exter immediately reminds you of the Grand i10 Nios, particularly the layout . Just like the Hyundai hatchback, the Exter features an integrated housing design for the infotainment unit and the instrument cluster, and similar looking central AC vents below the display. Even from the leaked images, it is hard to determine the size of the touchscreen. It is not exactly the same 8-inch setup as offered in the Grand i10 Nios but is certainly smaller than the 10.25-inch unit found in the i20.
They do confirm that the Exter will offer a digitised driver’s display which is also seen on other Hyundai cars like Venue and Verna. Based on what’s visible, the Exter will also come with auto AC and cruise control.
More Features We Already Know

Also, the safety will be ensured by six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, and 3-point seat belts and reminders for all five seats, rear parking camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Hyundai will offer the Exter in five broad variants: EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. The variant-wise details will only be known closer to the model’s launch.
