Skoda Auto India has appointed Mr. Pawel Szuflak as the Director, Sales & Marketing for the company. Pawel Szuflak, a veteran at SKODA AUTO has been associated with the Czech automotive company since 16 years. Born in Poland, Szuflak has extensive experience in the global automobile industry. With his wide ranging expertise and valuable global experience, Szuflak will play a critical role in further strengthening Skoda’s position in the Indian market. Szuflak will be responsible for creating and implementing an aggressive strategy for improving the customer service function. One of the key focus areas for Szuflak will be to drive the new product launch strategy for Skoda in India. He will also be steering the network and marketing functions for the brand in India.
One of his first tasks will be to launch the most awaited car in the Indian market – the new Skoda Octavia. While being responsible for new product launches, Szuflak will drive the sales and after sales performance of existing products in the market. Szuflak started his career in Marketing with Skoda in Poland in 1997, where he was responsible for preparation and supervision of the company’s advertising campaigns. He has been part of the automotive industry for more than 16 years and has been closely associated with the evolution of Skoda in the international market. He has worked across Europe & China in the past and has an in-depth understanding of the automotive industry.
In his role as Head of Department, International Sales Strategy, Skoda Auto a.s, Szuflak was instrumental in implementation of unique (VW Group) strategy development system. He was also responsible for the successful development and approval for new Skoda Distribution Strategy. Szuflak has been an important member of the team responsible for the development and implementation of new CI for Skoda. He held a very critical position as Head Dealer Network Strategy and operations in China. He was successful in building dealer network in Chinese market while achieving number 1 position in Chinese Sales Satisfaction Index study research for 3 years in a row.
