Jaguar Land Rover has launched the most powerful, dynamic, and fastest Range Rover, the Sport SVR, at Rs 2.19 crore (ex-showroom India), around Rs 35 lakh more than the previous top-end Autobiography Dynamic Sport variant.
The Range Rover Sport SVR is hand-finished in Coventry, UK, and developed by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations. It gets a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine that delivers 575PS and 700Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It can do the 0-100kmph sprint in just 4.5 seconds while being able to achieve a top speed of 283kmph.
Further, its chassis has been enhanced for more dynamic handling. The damping hardware has also been tuned for better performance and body control. It also gets performance brake pads and discs as well as height-adjustable air suspension that aid its enhanced performance.
It features 21-inch alloy wheels, customisable ambient lighting, SVR performance seats, heated front and rear seats, a dual 10-inch touchscreen system with connected car technology and AC control, optional rear 8-inch touchscreen displays, a heads-up display, and a 19-speaker Meridian Surround Sound System.
Safety is covered by adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a 360-degree camera, park assist, steering assist, and dynamic stability control.
The Range Rover Sport SVR competes with the BMW X5 M, Porsche Cayenne, and Audi RS Q8.
