The Porsche Cayenne Coupe made its global debut in March 2019 and has now arrived in India too. It is a sportier version of the already sporty Cayenne SUV with a sloping roofline, two rear spoilers and improved driving dynamics. Porsche took the already well-engineered package of its large SUV and restyled it for the coupe SUV market.
The more stylish Cayenne Coupe is priced a bit higher than the regular Cayenne:

The standard Cayenne Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 which turns out 340PS and 450Nm which is enough to propel it from 0 to 100kmph in 6 seconds. Meanwhile, the Turbo variant gets the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 under the hood producing 550PS and 770Nm of torque. With the bump in performance, the Cayenne Coupe Turbo can do the 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.9 seconds. All engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and get 4WD as standard with various off-road modes.
Porsche offers the Coupe with the Sport Chrono Package as standard. The sports exhaust is offered as part of the Sport Design package on the Turbo variant. It is important to note that the regular Cayenne has the same performance claims in the equivalent variants. The India-spec Cayenne Coupe gets air suspension as standard. The air suspension is useful for our surfaces since it increases the maximum ground clearance of the Porsche SUV coupe from 190mm to 245mm.
Inside the cabin, the Cayenne Coupe is the same as the regular SUV with a large panoramic fixed glass roof. It gets a large 12-inch HD touchscreen infotainment display, touch panel central console and semi-digital instrument cluster with displays flanking the analogue tachometer. Porsche is offering the Cayenne Coupe with 8-way power adjustable front seats as standard while the Turbo variant gets 18-way power adjustable front seats with heated and ventilated function for both front and rear seats. The Cayenne Coupe also gets sporty front seats with chequered upholstery like the 911.
The coupe styling doesn’t compromise practicality by much. Porsche has lowered the rear seats by 30mm to compensate for the sloping roof line in the Cayenne Coupe to offer plenty of headroom. Meanwhile, the boot is still spacious with a luggage capacity of 625 litres while the Turbo variant offers 600 litres of space.
The Cayenne Coupe gets two zone climate control as standard with four zone climate control on the Turbo variant. It also gets a HUD, night vision camera, 360-degree surround view camera and rear-wheel steering as optional extras. Other optional packages offer weight savings such as a carbon roof with carbon and Alcantara inserts.
Porsche has paid a lot of attention to detail with the styling tweaks of the Cayenne Coupe. The A-pillar is raked further back, the roof edge sits 20mm lower and the rear doors and arches have been restyled to look sportier than before. Around the rear, it has a fixed roof spoiler and a second active spoiler just above the taillights. This second spoiler raises itself by 135mm at speeds of 90kmph and higher for better rear end stability. The Cayenne Coupe gets 20-inch rims as standard with the option of upto 22-inch GT rims.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is a rival to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and the BMW X6.
