The Mumbai based Indian automaker Premier is readying for the launch of its compact SUV Rio. The new Premier Rio SUV will be powered with a 1.3 liter diesel MultiJet engine that drives a peak power of 87 BHP. This engine has a BS IV compliant motor and is being sourced from Fiat. According to auto experts the company has already started trials of this vehicle and is planning on launching the car soon. At present the petrol version of Rio is BS IV compliant but the current diesel version with a TUD5 engine is only BS III compliant.
