The Sport SVR is available with a petrol engine only while the SVAutobiography can be had with both petrol and diesel engines
Land Rover has started accepting orders for the Range Rover Sport SVR and Range Rover SVAutobiography models in India. The carmaker already offers the Range Rover Sport and the Range Rover in more versions in the country with prices starting from Rs 99.47 lakh and Rs 1.74 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. The Sport SVR and SVAutobiography are the top variants of the respective SUVs and offer better performance and more features compared to their lower variants.
Range Rover SVAutobiography
The SVAutobiography is available with both petrol and diesel engines in the long wheelbase (LWB) format. The petrol engine can be had in the short wheelbase (SWB) version of the SVAutobiography too.
The diesel engine, which is a 4.4-litre unit, continues to deliver as much power in the SVAutobiography as it does in Vogue, Vogue SE and Autobiography variants (lower variants), while the 5.0-litre petrol engine sees a bump in power by about 40PS compared to the Autobiography.

Some of the significant add-ons of the SVAutobiography over the Autobiography are: adaptive cruise control with queue assist, pixel-laser LED headlights, standard park assist and 360-degree parking aid, rear executive class comfort seats with power deployable centre console, front and rear refrigerator compartment and lane-keep assist.
And if you think that the SVO team at Land Rover has just made the Range Rover more luxurious, then you’re wrong. The SVAutobiography Dynamic has a tuned chassis, steering, exhaust and suspension and it also sits 8 mm lower than a standard Range Rover. In order to make it look fast, it also gets Graphite Atlas accents, distinctive Red Land Rover-branded brake calipers and 21-inch wheels.
The most expensive Range Rover at present is the LWB Autobiography with the 5.0-litre petrol engine, which is priced at Rs 2.49 crore. Land Rover is yet to officially announce the price of the SVAutobiography in India.

Range Rover Sport SVR
LR likes to call the Sport SVR its most capable SUV. The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine under the Sport makes 575PS of maximum power, 10PS more than what it makes in the SVAutobiography. The seriousness to offer performance doesn’t end with the tweaks under the hood as the SVO team has added a special carbon fibre bonnet and lighter sports seats and chassis to the Sport SVR.
In this version, the Sport can touch 100kmph from standstill in 4.5s. We’re told that the engineers at SVO have also focused on controlling its pitch under heavy acceleration and braking, while making some changes to the damping hardware that have improved turn-in, mid-corner grip and body control.
The Sport is available in Autobiography Dynamic variant as well, priced at Rs 1.72 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available with the 3.0-litre and 4.4-litre diesel engines and the same 5.0-litre engine that powers the Sport SVR but with a power output of 525PS (50PS less than Sport SVR). In addition to the features offered in this variant, the SVR gets sports suspension, pixel LED headlights and 16-way adjustable SVR performance seats with driver and front passenger memory. Land Rover is yet to officially announce the price of the Sport SVR for the Indian market.
