Renault India launches Duster AWD at INR 11.89 Lakh

Renault India has launched the All Wheel Drive (AWD) version of its successful Duster SUV at INR 11.89 lakh. Till date, the Duster was only available in the front-wheel drive (FWD) version, but now this all-wheel-drive (AWD) version will be sold alongside the existing line-up.

Powering the new Duster AWD is the same 1.5-litre diesel mill, which churns out 110bhp of max. power and 248Nm of peak torque, coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. Renault claims a fuel efficiency of 19.72kmpl from this new entrant in the line-up. The all-wheel drive feature of the SUV, can be controlled via a toggle switch, that has three options to choose from- two-wheel drive, automatic and four-wheel drive which can be manually locked.

Though the new AWD variant is visibly similar to regular Duster, the company has equipped it with distinguishing elements such as smoked headlamps, gun metal finished alloy wheels and ‘AWD’ decals on the body. On the inside, the new AWD version gets a new Duster Adventure Edition inspired centre console, a new three-pod instrument cluster, a sportier steering wheel, new upholstery options and a 2-din touch-screen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. In terms of safety, the SUV comes equipped with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and dual front airbags.
