Renault Pulse first broke covers during the first Indian Grand Prix F1 race at the Buddh International circuit. Rumor has it that the Renault dealers will soon start accepting the bookings for the car at a mere downpayment of Rs 30,000- Rs 40,000. Based on the cross-platform sharing concept catching up of late, Renault Pulse is built on the Nissan Micra platform to occupy a berth higher than the latter.
Sharing the V-platform of Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse is expected to carry the interiors taken straight out of Nissan Micra. However, the interiors are expected to be classier with an upmarket air. The Renault Pulse exteriors is where the distinction can be marked. The small car in question has the contrasting matt black flat grille with a thin lining of chrome in the front with the conspicuous Renault logo. The front bumper design is also unique with the part of the bumper enclosed in the red frame. The headlights are tweaked backwards symmetrically placed endowing an intelligent look to the car. One glimpse at the car can clearly establish the fact that Renault Pulse sits in a different league from Micra. As for the engine department, Renault Pulse shares the same Nissan Micra engine with a 1.2 L petrol motor to churn out a peak power of 80 Bhp and the 1.5 L diesel engine to produce a peak power of 65 Bhp. Renault Pulse is the third car from the Renault India, which made its re-entry into the market with its sedan, Renault Fluence, followed by Renault Koleos SUV. The luxury car manufacturer is slowly gaining presence in the country with numerous cars lined-up for next year. Upcoming next on the list is Renault Duster, an SUV based on Romania based manufacturer Dacias product.Read More on : Renault Pulse review
