Car manufacturers increase prices of various car models

The auto component sompany and the owner of nearly half of the Indian Car market the Maruti Suzuki group has now decided to increse the prices of its various models. It has come to the notice that other car manufacturing companies can also follow some same kind of pattern. All these increases in the price ranges have been made by the car companies after a long season of reduced prices for various vehicles. Earlier prices were reduced on the basis of reduction in excise duty by the car companies. The expected increase in the prices of the cars is nearly Rs.5,000-10,000. Suggested reasons for the increase in the prices of the cars are fluctuations in the currency and pressure regarding the costs. Expected price of premium car Maruti A-Star are expected to be higher by nearly Rs.10,000. Maruti SX4 is expected to be higher in prices by Rs.9,000. And the car categories like Maruti Swift and Maruti Dzire will be available with prices higher in the range of Rs.5,000-7,000. With these expected increase in the prices its supposed that the company customers will not be able to have the benefits of lower excise duties.
  Previous month the prices of various models were reduced by them. Chief models in the list were Maruti A-Star, Maruti Swift which reduced the prices by Rs14,392, and Rs.17,868 resp. Some special reductions were done in the prices of various models like Maruti Dzire and SX4 by the extent Rs.21,784 and Rs.23,187 resp. Its a matter of consideration that the prices of various products when falled, falled slowly and increased, increased were steadily. According to the spoksperson of the company the final decision regarding the prices is yet to be taken. Before Maruti it was Toyota who took the same kind of decisions of increasing the prices of its various models all because of thereduction in the value of rupee in the international market.
