After going on sale in July 2023, the Hyundai Exter has now got its first price hike of up to Rs 16,000. With this price increase, the introductory prices for the micro SUV have come to an end. The CNG variants of the Exter have also been subjected to this round of the price increment. Below, we have provided detailed variant-wise revised prices for the micro SUV.

The top-spec SX(O) Connect petrol-manual variant of the Exter has received the highest price jump of Rs 16,000.

Except for the SX dual-tone and SX (O) Connect, all other petrol-manual variants have become more expensive by Rs 10,000, while the former two variants have received a price hike of Rs 11,000.

Customers will have to shell out Rs 9,000 more for CNG variants of the Hyundai Exter.

The AMT variants of the Hyundai Exter have become expensive by up to Rs 12,000, with top-end SX(O) AMT Connect dual-tone receiving a hike of Rs 5,000.

The prices for the base-spec EX manual and top-spec SX(O) AMT Connect variants remain unchanged.

Powertrain Check
The Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which makes 83PS and 114Nm, and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The CNG variants also use the same engine but have a reduced output of 69PS and 95Nm. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

New Price Range & Rivals
The Hyundai Exter is now priced between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It takes on the Tata Punch, while also being an alternative to the likes of Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3, and Maruti Fronx.
