After launching the matte edition of the Skoda Kushaq three months ago, the Czech automaker has now introduced a similar matte edition for the Skoda Slavia as well. This matte edition of the sedan is based on its top-spec Style variant. Additionally, Skoda has incorporated several new features into the Style variant of the Slavia. Before we get into the changes, have a look at the pricing of the matte edition of the sedan.

For the matte edition of the Skoda Slavia, customers will have to shell Rs 40,000 more over the top-spec Style variants of the sedan.
Carbon Steel Matte Grey Shade
Similar to the Skoda Kushaq, the matte edition of the Slavia is also available in a shade called Carbon Steel matte grey. Despite its matte paint finish, the door handles and beltline retain a chrome finish. Other than this exterior color option, the matte edition of the Skoda Slavia doesn't feature any significant design changes.

New Features
The matte edition of the Skoda Slavia features the same black and beige dashboard. Skoda has now reintroduced the 10-inch touchscreen system on the Slavia, which was temporarily unavailable due to semiconductor shortage. The top-spec Style variant of the sedan now offers electrically adjustable driver's and co-driver's seats, as well as footwell illumination.
Other features onboard the Slavia include an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, and cruise control. Safety is ensured by up to six airbags, hill-hold assist and a rear parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrains On Offer
The Slavia’s matte edition comes with both 1-litre (115PS/178Nm) and a 1.5-litre unit (150PS/250Nm) turbo-petrol engine options. Both units are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the former gets the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the latter gets a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) option.
Price Range & Rivals
The Skoda Slavia is now priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). It takes on the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
