An ardent Cardekho reader Deepshikha Tahiliani has just sent us test mule of Chevrolet Sail sedan which is due to launch later this year. The camouflaged sedan was caught undergoing test run at the sub-urbs of Mumbai. Although the car is heavily camouflaged, our reader managed to get spy shots of the Chevrolet Sail sedan.

Expected to be priced at Rs 6 lakh, the Chevrolet Sail sedan will gun straight against entry level sedans in India like Toyota Etios, Skoda Rapid, Nissan Sunny and the likes.

The exclusive images of the sedan show that Chevrolet has packed Sail sedan with split grill separated by a gold Chevrolet bowtie affixed in the middle. The nose of the car is broad that comprises of wide headlamp cluster, round fog lamps, wiper and an antenna on the roof.

The rear adorns diamond shaped tail lamps and a stop lamp placed on the lower side of rear windscreen. The rear profile is also interesting but to keep the price in check, Chevrolet will suffice the sedan with black door handles, steel wheels, etc.

Interiors are quite roomy and the dashboard comes with dual done scheme. The upper section is done with black while the lower sports dim cream color. 3 spoke steering wheel and the sedan spotted had manual transmission gearbox.

Under the hood, Sail sedan will be affixed with 1.2 l S-TEC II and 1.4 l S-TEC III engines. Not getting much into specs, we leave our reader to enjoy the scooped pictures of Chevy’s Sail sedan which did not appear in Auto Expo along with its younger sibling Sail hatch.
