Suzuki cars to adorn Fiat 1.6 multijet engines

Fiat is an Italian automaker company which is known to design, manufacture, develop rattling Multijet engines, however it has signed bonds with other auto makers and in line with this, Fiat supply its outstanding Multijet engines to them. Initialy Suzuki Motors encompassed 1.3 litre multijet engines developed by Fiat. Sources have revealed that now Suzuki cars will also sport recent discovery of Fiat, 1.6 litre multijet engines, which Fiat is going to supply to Suzuki. As per the latest updates, Fiat has signed a truce with Japanese carmaker Suzuki according to which Italian automaker Fiat will render its latest discovery, 1.6 litre multijet engine along with the old 1.3 litre and 2.0 litre multijet engines to Suzuki.

Speculations are high that SX4 will now come with the latest 1.6 liter Multijet engine (for global markets). It has also been uncovered that Fiat has given license to Maruti India to Manufacture 1.6 litre multijet engines as and when needed. Statistics unveil that Indian subsidiary has produced approximately 2 Lakh 1.3 litre multijet engines in 2010 that have found application in Maruti Ritz, Maruti Swift and Maruti Dzire. Despite of the hard work done by R&D department of Fiat, the irony is, Fiat India is not able to cater even 1/10th of the volume as that of Maruti India manufacturing its cars using multijet engines developed by Fiat.

Fiat India is taking various measures to recover its lost volumes and the foremost measure is to facelift Both Fiat Grand Punto and Fiat Linea. Fiat Grande Punto might get EVO styling thereby getting a new name Fiat Grande Punto EVO. Styling for Fiat Linea has not yet decided. Both Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea are the hatchback cars in India. In addition to this, Fiat India is also launching a compact crossover in the Indian market : Fiat Sedici which is a compact SUV well suited for rapidly growing Indian Market. Apart from this, Fiat India is also planning to open its standalone showrooms and service centres in India. This may enable Fiat India to restore its lost volumes in India and enable it to survive or thrive in Indian auto market.
