Suzuki Head and Narendra Modi to Discuss on Setting Up Plant in Gujarat

Maruti Suzuki India has been planning to start their manufacturing operations in Gujarat for quite sometime now. Last Month, Gujrat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi met Suzuki officials to induce MSI to shift their operation to Gujarat on his visit to Japan. Now PTI reported that Suzuki Chairman & CEO Mr. Osamu Suzuki will be meeting Narendra Modi the next week and review all the possibilities of their 4,000 crore investment pkan in Gujarat. So soon we can hear the announcement from the company officials on the same.
An industry department official said, “SMC's CEO is likely to meet the Chief Minister on August 24.” He also said that the planned facility at Mandal Taluka will start after Suzuki vists the state. The company is likely to produce about 2.5 lakh units in its first phase. One more good thing that has now come up for MSI is that they are resuming production at Manesar Plant On August 21, and we hope things get on track soon for the giant.
