Tata is all set to launch the Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions, which have just been spied at a dealership yard. Unofficial bookings are open before its expected July 7 launch.
The Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions get a glossy black shade along with a blacked-out treatment for the grille, fog lamp housing, lower bumpers, ‘Nexon’ and ‘Altroz’ badging, and outside rearview mirrors. The design of the alloy wheels remains the same for both cars, but they now get a dark grey finish. It’s the same on the inside, with the cabin getting a glossy black finish for the centre applique.
The Nexon, however, continues with the silver skid plates and grille outline. Both editions also get a ‘Dark’ inscription on the front fenders. Other than that, there shouldn’t be any other changes.
In the case of the Harrier, you get the Dark Edition with the range-topping XT and XZ trims. Similarly, this edition may be limited to the top-end variants of the Altroz and Nexon. These variants will likely demand a premium of Rs 20,000 over their corresponding variants, similar to the Harrier.
The Altroz is powered by 86PS 1.2-litre petrol, 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and 90PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, all paired to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox for now. The Nexon gets 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 110PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
