Despite being one of the most technologically advanced vehicles, Tata Aria could not lure much buyers towards it, possibly due to lack of branding and the pricing. So to make things right, the company launched the stripped down version of the Aria called as Pure LX at Sub- Rs 10 lakh price in February 2012, but that too could not change the things. Now the company has come up with an exciting scheme, under which a buyer can avail the discounts of up to Rs 2.5 lakh on buying Tata Aria, however it won't be applicable on the Base Pure LX variant.
All the 2012 models of the Tata Aria are being offered at a discount of Rs 2 lakh, while some 2011 models have been made available at a discount of Rs 2.5 lakh. Except the flat discount of Rs 2-2.5 lakh (depending on the model year), Tata Motors is also offering an exchange bonus worth Rs 50,000 on 2012 and 2013 models.
Built on the company's new light-weight hydro-form chassis, X2 platform, Tata Aria was launched in the year 2010 in 4x4 option, to attract more buyers, three 4x2 variants were launched last year. However it could not do as good as the company expected it do. Tata Motors could manage to sell only 821 units of Tata Arias from April 2012 to January 2013.
Recently we saw the company's all new Tata Safari Storme, new Indigo Manza, Indica eV2, Vista D90 launched in the Indian market, and there will be 6 new vehicles within the next one year, so all these things prove the company's seriousness towards its commitment to become no. 2 position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
