Tata Aria to be launched in UK by 2011

Tata Aria, an upcoming MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) from Tata is expected to be launched in UK market by year 2011. The company is working hard to make Aria compatible to strict safety and emission norms of European market. Tata Motors showcased the Aria in Delhi auto expo in January where the car attracted a large number of MUV lovers and car enthusiasts.

The Tata Aria is based on a body-on-frame structure which makes it comfortable in cities as well as in off-road drives. Same as the Tata Safari, the Tata Aria is coming with a 2.2 litre dicor diesel engine, which generates maximum power of 140 bhp. After its launch in UK the company is planning to roll-out it in other markets including Turkey, Italy, Spain and Poland.

Tata Aria has an amazing road presence thanks to its elegantly designed exteriors. The cross-over Aria will be loaded with all stylish features that any premium SUV offers. It is an eight seater luxurious MUV model which has been built on a roadster concept that Tata Motors displayed at Geneva Motor Show in year 2009. With the launch of Tata Aria the company is planning make its position stronger in premium vehicle segment. Though there is no official statement regarding the price of this model but it is expected to be launched in the range of Rs 12 to 15 lacs. After the launch the Tata Aria will compete with other famous models of this segment like Ford Endeavour, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Innova, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner and yet to launch Skoda Yeti.
