Tata Aria to be launched tomorrow

The much anticipated Tata Aria is going to be launched tomorrow. As per the sources, the new model will be equipped with 2.2 L, DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) engine which has been fitted with the company's earlier launched SUV Tata Safari and is doing quite good on Indian roads. The new model is expected to offer exciting fuel efficiency and a thrilling riding experience on every type of road. The 2.2L Dicor engine of this new variant has got the capability to create the maximum power of 140 bhp at 4000rpm. This will be combined with the peak torque around 320Nm at 1700~2700rpm.

As speculated, Tata Motors is expected to launch three variants of Tata Aria. All these different variants of Aria will have both options of Four Wheel Drive (4WD) and Two Wheel Drive (2WD). This new car from Tata Motors is expected to be packed with all those attributes which will help it to become one of the most demanded MUVs in India. The speculated features of the new Tata Aria may include leather covered Steering Wheels, leather seats, Gear Shift Knob, Headrest Mounted LCD screen, Power, Automatic Climate Control AC, Tilt Steering, Power Window for all the doors, powerful CD/mp3 audio system, Cigarette Lighter & Ash-Tray in front console ,Cup Holders on floor console, Rear Wash and Wiper, Digital Outside Temperature Indicator, Parking sensors, stylish and broad Alloy Wheels etc. All these features are expected to create interest and curiosity among customers.

Tata aria is a step ahead for an indian manufacturer entering the mpv domain which is monopolised by toyota. The problem with tata aria is when you compare it with toyota innova it looses out big time on the value for money front , even though it has a huge array of features. It should have had a 3.0 litre engine. In fact , Tata safari should be in competition with innova and xylo but tata has not been able to do that with safari. The fact that Xylo is the second choice after the innova is proof enough. Tata aria , given its pricing and features , should be compared to ford explorer or maybe even the captiva or the upcomming skoda yeti. But in terms engine capacity , fit and finish it would fall short of the captiva and the yeti. all in all Tata is on the right path , it has nano , vista and the indigo brand with manza is value for money , safari and now aria completes the entire boquet of products which is very good for an indian manufacturer. I wish them all the very best and hope that we can match and beat toyota and honda in the fit and finish department - which we lack bigtime. Overall a step ahead for tata and all the best to them
