Tata to launch the Camo Edition before Diwali 2020.
Back in September 2020, we had reported that Tata had registered for various trademarks including Camo Editions of select models. Now, a Camo Edition of the Harrier has been spotted at a dealership hinting at a launch before Diwali.
Our dealer sources have stated that Tata will be offering the Camo Edition in the same variants as the Dark Edition: XT, XT+, XZ, XZA, XZ+, and XZA+. Its prices are also expected to be similar to those of the Dark Edition variants (pricier by up to Rs 20,000 over the standard corresponding variants) as mentioned in the table below.
Tata Harrier Dark Edition Variants |
Prices (ex-showroom Delhi) |
XT |
Rs 16.50 lakh |
XT+ |
Rs 17.30 lakh |
XZ |
Rs 17.85 lakh |
XZA |
Rs 19.15 lakh |
XZ+ |
Rs 19.10 lakh |
XZA+ |
Rs 20.30 lakh |
While the major difference between the Camo Edition and the standard model is the exterior olive green shade, it also gets dark-finished alloy wheels with the same design like the one present on the high-specced variants. Apart from the new body paint and dark-finished alloy wheels, everything else remains the same as the corresponding Dark Edition variants including the all-black cabin, panoramic sunroof, and the 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Camo Edition will be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine offered on the standard model that belts out 170PS and 350Nm. You can have it coupled with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter unit.
Tata has priced the Harrier from Rs 13.84 lakh to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It rivals the MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500 along with higher variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
