An almost production ready Tata Hexa prototype has been spied near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The car was snapped during its road test by a member of Team-Bhp and the pictures showcase clear details of the crossover’s interiors.
Inside the car, most of the cabin trim is lifted out of the Aria MPV including the dashboard. The controls and equipment however, has been refreshed by the Indian automaker. Highlights of the interior revamp include the relocation of the central AC vents, refreshed design of the inner door panels, redesigned steering wheel and seat upholstery that features a new design.
In terms of equipment, one can spot the Terrain Management System controls in the cabin snaps of this Hexa prototype. One can also toggle between different suspension settings, which include Automatic, Dynamic and Comfort suspension setting options.
The crossover will incorporate Tata’s VARICOR 400 2.2-liter diesel mill, which was recently introduced in the Tata Safari Storme. The powerplant has been tweaked to produce 156PS of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Tata Hexa will probably make its debut at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo, which will be held next month in Nodia.
