Tata Motors Finance to cover Fiat cars

News doing the rounds of the industry is that Tata Motors Finance will also give financial coverage to all FIAT Cars in India that will help the potential Fiat customers to get easy and quick loan approvals, maximum funding and competitive rates along with across the counter services. It is to be noted that Tata Capital is already funding Fiat cars from the last year. Fiat cars lovers would get the benefit of Tata Motors Finance from its 140 branches spread across the country. To handle the Fiat business, the auto maker has given the responsibility to a National Sales Manager under whom Regional Managers, State Heads, Area Managers, Branch Managers and Sales Managers will work. Vice President, Commercial passenger Car Business, Tata Motors, R Ramakrishnan commented that the Fiat customers will now have a retail funding facility as Tata Motors Finance and it is expected that the loans will be availed promptly at competitive rates. Vice President (commercial), Fiat India, Ravi Bhatia said that the new facility to Fiat customers will assist them to get quick loan approvals and owning a Fiat car. Fiat India Automobiles Ltd is a joint venture between Tata Motors Ltd and Fiat Group Auto S.P.A; both hold 50:50 stake. Under this industrial joint venture, Fiat cars in India are distributed through the strong dealer network of Tata Motors. The joint venture company, FIAT, owns state-of-the-art facility at Ranjangaon that can manufacture 3 lakh engines, 2 lakh cars, 3 lakh parts and accessories. Also Fiat Linea, Fiat Grande Punto and Fiat Palio Stile are being produced here.

Tata Motors has become the largest auto firm that produces passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle and trucks. Tata Motors' product portfolio consists of Tata Aria, Tata Indica, Tata Indigo, Tata Manza, Tata Nano, Tata Safari, Tata Sumo Grande, etc. Tata Motors’ total commercial and passenger vehicles sales (including exports) in October 2010 were 64,757 vehicles, a growth of 21 per cent over 53,404 vehicles sold last year. The domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for October this year were 58,807 units, a 16 per cent growth over 50,552 units sold in October 2009. The product portfolio of Fiat cars comprises of Fiat 500, Fiat Grand Punto, Fiat Linea, Fiat Palio Stile and Fiat Palio Stile Multijet.
