Tata Motors global sales grow by 18 per cent

Tata Motors is still in the festive mood as the company has recorded a sales growth of 18 per cent by selling 86,705 vehicles in the month of October 2010. Tata Motors Group, has seen an exceptional growth, which includes Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of Commercial auto mobiles, Tata Passenger automobiles and also the brands which are distributed in India. Moreover the luxury British brand, Jaguar and Land Rover sales were 86,705 units in 2010, October, recording a hike of 18 per cent when compared to the previous year.
The aggregate sale for the Tata Motors Group for the fiscal year (2010 April -2010 October) was 598,639 showing a growth 44 per cent over the 2009-10 sales.
The total sales of commercial vehicles sales were 40,750 in the month of October 2010, which accounted to a growth of 20 per cent. The cumulative sales for this year was 274,323 vehicles which saw a growth of 52 per cent.
The total sales of Passenger vehicles were recorded at 45,955 units in 2010 October which accelerated the growth by 17 per cent. The aggregate sales for the fiscal year were 324,316 units which accounts to a growth of 39 per cent.
The passenger vehicle sales which also includes the distributed units were 27,110 units in October, putting a growth of 20 per cent. The fiscal years cumulative sales accounted to 41 per cent which was 193,184 units.
The sale of the premium luxury car Jaguar Land Rover sales globally accounts to 18,845 vehicles in October 2010 which had a hike of 12 per cent. Jaguar recorded a sale of 3,219 units for October which is lowered by 19 per cent however, the sales of Land Rover was 15,626 recording a hike of 22 per cent. Jaguar total sales recorded were 32,999 which accelerated by 21 per cent and the Land Rover sale were 98,133 units speeding upto 41 per cent hike.
Tata Motors has been showing great growth in the International scenario and to strengthen the sales graph Tata Motors has great future plans to take advantage of the situation which is already in its favour. Tata Motors is planning to venture with GB Auto, the Egyptian Auto makers to expand in the Arab Markets.
