Tata Motors registers growth of 21 per cent

Tata Motors India, one of the largest auto mobile manufacturers in India have proven the prowess again with a growth of 21 per cent. The well known auto manufacturer registered a sale of 64,757 units in October, 2010 which was only 53,404 units in October 2009. In India, Tata Motors sale of the passenger and commercial wheelers showed a hike of 16 per cent recording a sale of 58,807 units which was 50,552 units last year in October.
The company had a whooping growth of 50 per cent in sales which includes profits from the exports. This year, the Indian car giants sold 444,870 units which was 296,354 units last year.
Lets look at the sales of Commercial and Passenger vehicles.
The sale of Commercial vehicles in the Indian market was 34,329 in October 2010, showing a growth of 12 per cent when compared to last year's sales of 30,541 units. LCV sector saw a hike is of 11 per cent, with the sale of 20,689 units. M&HCV had a growth of 14 per cent with sale of 13,640 units.
The total sales in the India of the commercial vehicles are 238,571 for this year, recording a growth of 48 per cent which is way ahead compared to the last year's graph. LCV total sales (exports included) are 136,031, progressing to 36 per cent and a total of 20,540 units sold. M&HCV saw a growth of 67 per cent compared to last year's sales.
The Passenger car sales increased to 19 per cent which accounts to 26,503 vehicles (Tata Motors 24,478 and Fiat India 2,025) which was 22,232 units when compared with last year's sales. Tata Nano recorded a growth of 2 per cent which is 3,065, this year. Tata Indica sales were 9,732 wheelers, registering a jump of 1 per cent only. Tata Indigo sales were 8,292 units showing a remarkable growth of 69 per cent. The Tata Sumo, Tata Safari and Tata Aria sales were 3,389 which accelerated with 38 per cent from last year's. The luxury car brand JLR showed growth too.
The total sale of the passenger vehicles were 173,651 wheeler recorded growth of 46 per cent from last year 118,579 vehicle compared to last year. Tata Nano recorded a total sale of 40,467 which was only 10,518 last year, a hike of 285 per cent. Tata Indica sales decreased by 12 per cent. The total sales of Tata Indigo are 52,063 shooting up to 123 per cent. The SUV sales are 22,487 showing a growth of 24 per cent.
The Exports sector registered growth as well. Tata Motors sold 5,950 units in October2010 from exports graphing a growth of 109 per cent which was only 2,852 units in 2009, October. The total sales from the exports for this year is 32,648 which increased to 103 per cent when compared to last year's 16,075 cars.
With such figures on board it is sure that Tata Motors will soon make it to the top in the selling charts. The company is coming with various other projects and is sure to record more numbers in the coming years.
