Tata mulls to sell passenger vehicles through CV network

Tata Motors has come up with a new marketing and distribution strategy, the company has decided to sell and stock some of its passenger vehicles through its commercial vehicle network. This strategy has been adapted specifically for small towns and cities which are deprived of passenger vehicle dealership.As per the reports, Tata Motors India is all set and ready to commence work on a compact truck assembly unit in Pretoria, which is the capital of South Africa. The work will begin sometime during the end of this month.

It’s been quite a while that planning has been going on regarding the assembly unit in South Africa and with so much of thoughts and efforts, the firm is now on final stages on making a decision. Not much of a detail was provided this time around, but one could expect all the information on the official launch on 22nd July 2011. Tata Motors gave a statement last year that it has been in plans to set up an assembly unit in South Africa for medium-sized as well as small trucks that will with a starting capacity of producing 3000 to 4000 trucks every year.

According to the grapevine, the cheaper Tata Aria price could be around 1 to 1.5 Lakh rupees less than the present Tata Aria model. From the last few months, Indian auto market was receiving a very dizzy response because of the sky hiking fuel rates. But here too, Tata Aria managed to sell approximately 356 Tata Arias, which is pretty impressive. Besides Tata Aria, some other well- esteemed models by Tata Motors include Tata Manza, Tata Indica Range, Tata Indigo Range, Tata Nano, Tata Winger, Tata Sumo and Tata Safari.
