Tata is all set to launch the Altroz and Nexon Dark Edition variants on July 7. Both of them, like the Harrier, will be the only models in their segment to come in this shade. Bookings are already underway and the editions have even started reaching dealerships.
The Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions come in a glossy black shade with a blacked-out grille, fog lamp housing, lower bumpers, ‘Nexon’ and ‘Altroz’ badging, and outside rearview mirrors. The alloy wheel designs remain the same but now get a dark grey finish. Both editions also get a ‘Dark’ inscription on the front fenders.
The cabin of both cars sees a blacked-out treatment, with a glossy black finish for the centre applique. As for the regular variants of the Altroz and Nexon, they get a dual-tone grey treatment.
The Harrier Dark Edition is based on the range-topping XT and XZ trims. Similarly, this edition may be limited to the top-end variants of the Altroz and Nexon. They are likely to demand a premium of Rs 20,000 over their corresponding variants, similar to the Harrier.
The Altroz is powered by 86PS 1.2-litre petrol, 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and 90PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, all paired with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox for now. The Nexon gets 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 110PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
