No Feature Changes Expected
We are not expecting any changes to the feature list of the Nexon with the introduction of the Dark edition. Tata has equipped the regular version of the Nexon with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, automatic AC, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and paddle shifters.
The safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring system. The Nexon facelift recently got a full 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.

Powertrain Options
The Tata Nexon comes with two powertrain options, which include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (120 PS / 170 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115 PS / 260 Nm). Based on the variants that will get the Dark edition treatment, the petrol engine gets three transmission options – 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) – while the diesel comes paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AMT.
Expected Price & Rivals
The Dark edition of the Tata Nexon is expected to carry a premium of Rs 30,000 over the corresponding regular variants. The regular Nexon is priced between Rs 8.15 lakh and Rs 15.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It rivals the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
Even the Nexon EV facelift is set to get the Dark edition again as showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2024.
