The mid-spec Pure variant starts from Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with both petrol and diesel engine options
The Tata Nexon facelift has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in four broad variants: Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. We have already detailed the base-spec Smart variant in images, and if you’re looking to buy the mid-spec Pure variant, you can check out its detailed gallery here.
Exterior
Front
Up front, the Pure variant looks the same as the top-spec Nexon. It gets the same grille, LED headlamp design, and DRL setup.
But it misses out on the slim skid plate on the bumper, bi-functional headlamps and sequential LED DRLs.
Side
In profile, you get wheel arches and wide cladding on doors, ORVM-mounted indicators and roof rails, but it misses out on the body-coloured door handles.

Also, the Pure variant does not get alloy wheels, instead making do with steel wheels with stylised wheel covers.
Rear
Just like the fascia, the rear profile of the Nexon Pure variant is similar to the top-spec variant. You get the same LED tail lamps and the same bumper design. But it misses out on the connected tail lamp elements and doesn’t get a skid plate on the bumper.
Interior
Dashboard
Inside, the overall design of the dashboard is the same for all variants. The Pure variant gets a layered dashboard which houses a small 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a smaller partially digital instrument cluster.
It also gets Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with the backlit Tata logo.
Front Seats
The design of the front seats is the same in all variants but with the Pure variant, you miss out on leatherette upholstery. Here, you get a manual hand brake and a drive mode selector in the centre control.

Also, with the Pure S variant, you get the option of a single-pane sunroof.
Rear Seats
Here as well, the design of the seats is the same as the rest of the variants, but with fabric upholstery. At the rear, you miss out on the centre armrest with cup holders and the middle passenger headrest, but you do get rear AC vents.
Price & Rivals
The new Nexon is priced from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom) while its Pure trim starts from Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It continues to rival the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Mahindra XUV300.
