Tata Kite Teaser

Zica-based compact sedan, Kite 5 has been unveiled by Tata. The reveal at the grand event such as Auto Expo would certainly benefit the car in the long run. The new compact sedan will give some of the experienced players in the category, a run for their money. ata Motors has released a new video related to making of the latest commercial with their new global brand ambassador - ace footballer - Lionel Messi. The video reveals the silhouette of the upcoming hatchback, codenamed Kite, which will sit below the Bolt. The car which is yet to be named, is likely to be revealed in coming weeks while the launch is expected soon after it. The Kite hatch will be followed by its sibling compact sedan. Both the vehicles will be the spiritual successor of Indica eV2 and Indigo eCS, however, it is unlikely that the company will discontinue these two. As these vehicles will cater the fleet customers.

Mechanically, the automaker has not detailed the engines of the upcoming Tata Kite aka Zica duos. However, the vehicles are said to be powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine along with a 1.05-liter diesel motor, both 3-cylinder. It is pretty obvious that Kite will have an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option - Magneti Marelli AMT based on 5-Speed MT aka Tata’s F-Tronic; while 5-Speed manual will be standard to both the motors. The diesel is expected to deliver similar fuel efficiency figures like Maruti Suzuki Celerio’s 800 cc two-cylinder oil burner.
