Tata launched its first all-electric hatchback, the Tiago EV, recently. Even though it’s a compact hatchback, it has been packed with a bunch of features, which are usually seen in a segment or two segments above (that is mid-size or premium hatchbacks). We have now come to know that a slew of features from the Tiago EV are set to be offered on the Tigor EV as well since the former is the newer one of the two.
The Tigor EV will get cruise control, multi-level regenerative braking, auto-headlights, and leatherette upholstery from the electric hatchback. Leather-wrapped steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, and more connected car tech features are some of the amenities that will also join the equipment lineup on the electric sedan from the Tiago EV.

Apart from these feature upgrades, there won’t be any other changes on the sedan. It will continue with the same electric powertrain and we have compared its important numbers with those of the Tiago EV and Nexon EV.
Tata retails the Tigor EV in three trims: XE, XM, and XZ+, priced in the range of Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.64 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Although it doesn’t have any direct rivals, the electric sedan serves as an affordable option to the likes of the Nexon EV Prime and Max and the upcoming Mahindra XUV400 EV.
