Tata Winger Platinum to compete with Xylo and Innova

Tata Winger Platinum has set the pitch against its rivals Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova and plans to capture a major share in the Indian auto market. The new vehicle from Tata's stable is priced at Rs 7.5 lakh. Tata Motors' new bet in the MUV segment Tata Winger Platinum has already created ripple among its rivals in the domestic auto market. The new utility vehicle is a new version in the Tata Winger series Tata Winger Platinum launched on 8th December, 2010 in Mumbai, India. This seven seator will prove to be a great competition and is expected to eat away a meaty chunk in the domestic auto market. The MUV has already spiced the market's competition with the price tag it has entered the Indian auto sector. The Tata Winger Platinum is available in two variants the higher end is Tata Winger Platinum Van which is powered with advanced features which has already lured alot of buyer in its favour. In the Indian auto market, the utility segment is growing with accelerating speed of 20 per cent annually.
Ravi Pisharody, President of Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors, stated that, the utility segment had an expectational growth and will expand more due to great potential in this segment. In India, these MUVs are mostly used in travel and tour business especially for Taxis which is expanding hastily.
The Indian automobile maker with new variant is looking forward to pump up the sales for Tata Motors and in future it expects to multiply its growth in terms of sales. Tata Motors anticipates to sell 15,000 or more units of Tata Winger Platinum. The company also expects that it will raise the sale of its other commercial vehicles also.

Pisharody, also said that, the company has grown swiftly and Tata Motors can look for a growth of 15-20 per cent in the next year. Tata Motors has witnessed high demand for its vehicles in the growing Indian auto market. Tata Motors sometime back launched the long awaited Tata Ace which is also catching up the popularity in the Indian auto market. This new Tata Winger series utility vehicle will upsurge sales by selling more than 50 per cent which will be almost 2.5 lakh cars in 2010-11. Tata Motors is expanding its portfolio and to gain strength in the light commercial vehicle segment, the company wish to bring in two all new LCVs- the Iris and the Venture, expected to roll out by next year.
