Tata Zest arriving by mid-2014

Tata's new compact sedan, Zest, is soon arriving in India by mid-2014. The vehicle was unveiled at Auto Expo 2014, and certainly appears promising as it has got lot to offer to Indian buyers. Moreover, the Zest turns out to be the country's first ever compact sedan to come with Automated Manual Transmission. Based on new X1 platform, the sedan is presented with a complete new face and looks very appealing. It is sporty and dynamic in terms of its looks, and appears to give tough competition to the existing models in the segment. As far as competition is concerned, the new Zest will compete against big players like Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze.
Under the hood, the sedan will be powered by both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol version has got a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged intercolled MPFi engine that produces max power of 84bhp. While, the diesel variant sports 1.3-litre engine producing 89bhp and 200Nm of outputs. This engine is combined with Tata's new F-Tronic technology enabled five-speed automated manual transmission.
The new sedan features Tata signature grille with Humanity line, projector headlamps with chrome accents, daytime running lights, taillamps with LED treatement, 15-inch alloy wheels and many more.
Inside the cabin, the car features 5-inch touchscreen multimedia system with bluetooth, phone-enabled navigation, social media integration, HARMAN infotainment and audio system, MapmyIndia for satellite navigation and others. The advance safety features comprises of EPAS (Electronic Power Assisted System) with Active Return function and speed sensitive power steering, ABS (Anti-lock Braking system) with cornering stability feature.
