Tata Zest Riding High On Overwhelming Response; Now Attracts a waiting period of Six Months

Tata Zest, the compact sedan build to improve the sales of company in this competitive market is getting huge response from customers. Build under company’s new 'Horizonnext' strategy, the compact sedan now attracts a waiting period of up to six months on its selected variants.
Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger vehicles business unit, Tata Motors said, "The fact of the matter we are not able to produce as much as the market needs. Supply is much lesser than demand."
Tata Motors riding high on the initial success of compact sedan has already sold 10,000 units of Zest. The sedan launched in the month of August is priced at competitive price of Rs 4.64 lac for the base XE petrol while the base diesel model XE starts at Rs 5.64 lac (ex-showroom New Delhi). The compact sedan lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Honda Amaze and recently launched Hyundai Xcent.
The long waiting period of Zest is because of the overwhelming response of the car. The company is now trying hard to increase the production so that waiting period can be reduced.
Based on Vista's platform, the Zest features radical changes and debuts Tata's new design language – 'DESIGNEXT', new infotainment system from‘'CONNECTNEXT', and new driving experience with 'DRIVENEXT'. Tata Zest embraces segment-first 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman, F-Tronic Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) and multi-mode driving system.
