Tata recently launched India’s most affordable electric car, the Tiago EV, with introductory prices starting from Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker has received a strong response for the EV and has received over 10,000 bookings for it in a day.
To celebrate the milestone, the introductory prices of the Tiago EV originally meant for the first 10,000 bookings have been extended by a further 10,000.

Bookings for the Tiago EV are underway for a token of Rs 21,000. Test drives of the car will commence from late December and deliveries will begin from the start of 2023. The production of the 24kWh variants has been prioritised.
Tata is offering the Tiago EV with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack choices which offer claimed range figures of 250km and 315km, respectively. The smaller battery pack gets a 61PS/104Nm electric motor, while the bigger one’s motor delivers 75PS and 114Nm. The EV gets four levels of regenerative braking and two drive modes - City and Sport.
The 19.2kWh battery pack gets a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, while those opting for the variant with the 24kWh pack can avail of the 7.2kW AC fast charger. You can charge both from 10 to 80 per cent in 57 minutes with a DC fast charger.

The Tata Tiago EV features automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a seven-inch touchscreen system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology with limited remote operations, cruise control, eight-speaker sound system, dual front airbags, i-TPMS, and a rear parking camera.

The Tiago EV, currently unchallenged, will face competition from the upcoming Citroen C3 EV.
