Toyota India contemplates to revamp Toyota Qualis

Its been almost ten years when Toyota India introduced Toyota Qualis into the Indian Auto Market and in spite of its bread box kind of design, people appreciated the car to a great extend. Toyota Qualis literally took over the whole Indian Auto market as soon as it was launched and was successful in beating its competitors then. Now Toyota India is fascinated about the thought of introducing the successor of Toyota Qualis.

Toyota Qualis was the one, who made the path clear for cars like Toyota Innova, Toyota Etios and Toyota Corolla, which are actually liked by Indian buyers. Toyota Qualis surely turned out to be the best car even if it was built and designed by the means of chalk and rulers.Toyota Qualis had received enormous success that while launching Toyota Innova, Toyota India was not very shilly-shally in exiting Toyota Qualis from the lot and make a grand entry of Toyota Innova.

No doubt, Toyota Innova was huge, had better looks and reliability factor and it managed to create its own individual identity in the luxury MPV sector. But now, Toyota India is interested in the idea of launching Toyota Qualis’s successor. Just like Maruti India is thinking to launch Maruti R3 to attenuate sales of General Motors refurbished Tavera and Mahindra's Bolero, which are currently the bestselling car in this very segment, Toyota India is also wishing to renovate Toyota Qualis in wake up upsurging the sales volume.

As per the DMD of Toyota India, Mr. Sandeep Singh, the MPV segment keeps a very high weight-age and Toyota India is very much interested in entering this segment. But the major trouble is that Toyota India doesn’t have the exact product to enter with. It might be possible that Toyota India will not step in with new product for next 2-3 years.According to the rumors, Toyota India was giving a thought to Etios MPV, but it didn’t come out well. However, bringing in the successor of Toyota Qualis is also a rumor till now, but Toyota India seems to be pretty interested in the idea so far.
