On the inside, it now comes with a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The facelifted Innova Crysta gets tan brown upholstery for the top-spec ZX variant only. Toyota has stated that customers can avail connected car tech features such as real-time vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, last parked location, and more as optional accessories. In terms of features, it continues to be offered with cruise control, powered driver’s seat, auto-LED headlamps, and ambient lighting. Safety features consist of up to seven airbags, vehicle stability control, and front (new) and rear parking sensors.

The facelifted Innova Crysta is offered with the same petrol and diesel engines as before: 2.7-litre petrol (166PS/245Nm) and 2.4-litre diesel (150PS/360Nm). Both are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and offer a 6-speed torque converter unit as an option.

Toyota has priced the facelifted MPV at a premium of up to Rs 70,000 compared to the pre-facelift Innova Crysta that retailed between Rs 15.66 lakh and Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium is steep given the absence of the lower-specced G and G+ variants. It rekindles its rivalry with the likes of the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Tata Gravitas and Hexa BS6.
