Toyota launches Facelifted Etios at Rs. 5.74 Lac and Etios Liva at Rs. 4.76 Lac

Toyota India has launched the updated Etios range in the festivity of Diwali. The facelifted Etios sedan starts at Rs. 5.74 lac while the Etios Liva hatch starts at Rs. 4.76 lac. The changes are stylistic, the cars are unaltered mechanically. New Etios and Etios Liva also comes with added comfort features while dual-front SRS airbags are now standard across the range.
What's new on offer!
- Major exterior change comes in the form of new grille, electrically adjustable ORVM (outside rear view mirror), new pearl white colour (Etios sedan only) and chrome inserts on door handles.
- On the inside, instrumentation cluster offers bigger multi-info LCD display along with seatbelt, door ajar and headlamp buzzer. Seats get new premium fabric upholstery with height adjustable driver's seat, 2 new rear speakers in addition to the speakers in front (Etios sedan only)
- In terms of safety, Etios range now comes standard with the dual front SRS airbags.
- Etios cousins also offers reverse parking sensors for easy reversing.

With increased accidents and growing concerns over safety, as a first step we have standardized driver and passenger airbags for Etios, Etios Liva and Etios Cross across all grades. We have also seen a growing importance of safety among customers nowadays. The standardization of air bags across grades is to further reinforce this thought and ensure the safety of our customers and their families,” Raja added further.
Engines:
Mechanically, both the cars are unaltered. Staring with the diesel, both Etios-duo features a 1.4 liter D-4D diesel that generates 67.1bhp @ 3800rpm and 170Nm of max torque in between 1800-2400rpm. Both the cars are coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission with an ARAI certified mileage of 23.59km/l. However, in terms of petrol, Etios sedan offers a 1.5-liter unit while the hatch sports a smaller 1.2 liter motor. The 1.5 liter produces 88.8bhp @ 5600rpm and 132Nm @ 3000rpm, mated to a five-speed unit delivering 16.78km/l. Liva's 1.2-liter unit musters 78.9bhp of power @ 5600rpm and 104Nm of torque at 3100rpm and is coupled to a 5-speed unit delivering 17.71km/l.
