Toyota to introduce new Prius C variant at Tokyo Motor Show

The latest craze for hybrid cars for promoting greener environment has advanced a little further with the upcoming launch of a new variant of Toyota Prius to prove the point. The Japanese car manufacturer will launch the Toyota Prius C hybrid car at the Tokyo Motors show to be held in December with an improvement on the interior space and boot space . The recent addition Prius C comes as an addition on the Prius V launched earlier. The 1.5L petrol engine in the new car replaces the 1.8 L engine from the older car which works on the electric engine conveniently transitioned from the petrol engine.

The electric engine then works efficiently with the help of the Hybrid Synergy Drive developed inhouse by Toyota Motors. The new car surpasses the fuel economy delivered by the diesel hatchbacks with the 50 mpg or 21.25 kmpl offered by the Prius C car. The new green car lives up to the latest hybrid cars with lowest emissions of the waste gases. More details emerged on the car gives us a brief overview on the exteriors and the interior layout. The new Prius C is now longer by 3” when measured between the extreme ends of the hatchback.

The same difference is observed in the wheelbase as well from the older model. The roofline now dips by 3” however, continues to hold the appealing look now amplified with the better fuel economy and improved handling due to its low center of gravity. Coming to the interiors, the unique dashboard design first holds the attention of the observer. The eyebrow shaped dashboard and the Entune entertainment system, the pride of Toyota are included as a surprise for the Prius fans. The small car is soon to receive further acclaim at the North American International Motor show to be held in 2012 January at Detroit.
