Toyota USA to close down due to Japan calamity

Toyota USA one of the leading names in the US auto market is expected to shut down for a while. No price for guessing it is due to the devastating earthquake that measured 9.0 Richter scale followed by the demolishing tsunami. Several car makers have been affected by the natural disaster like Honda Motors, Suzuki Motors, Nissan. These auto giants have already closed their plants which were dependend on the auto parts from different small car suppliers from Japan. Also other players like Subaru, Mazda and Mitsubishi have also closed its production plants fugaciously till its suppliers will resume.

The Japanese car's parts mostly comes from its home grown companies. Due to the devast, these supply companies have shut down its manufacturing. This has lead to devastating effects not only in the units in Japan but those who are established out of the island. United States car market is one of the biggest auto market for the Japanese auto makers. America accounts for a larger auto market proportion in the Japanese car makers profits.

From Toyota Motors' clan automobiles like Toyota Yaris the sedan, Toyota Scion XB, Toyota Scion XD, from Honda's stable it is said that Honda Fit, the hatchback, Honda Accord the exclusive sedan and Honda CR-V the crossover are expected to affect greatly.

As per a Tokyo expert in an interview he revealed that the effect is huge in Japan which is now being spread in US. The production plant in the US is leading towards a closure because of the shortage of the car parts which were supplied from Japan.

These days cars are endowed with 30,000 different parts in which 70 to 80 per cent are shipped from many of the different component car makers. If one of the part is missing then the whole of the assembly line gets affected. The catastrophic in Japan is said to be largest in its 140 years of history and the earthquake was the fifth biggest across globe since 1990.
